Ben "Build Things" Johnson

Ben "Build Things" Johnson

Business Manager / Executive Director / Designer

Ben, a man of one too many talents, is on a quest to find the ultimate project. This endeavor has brought him new allies, enemies, and goals so great they may even be considered ambitious. Along the way, he has collected skills carefully honed by the greatest masters in the industry. These include filmmaking, music production, front & back end development, graphic design, SEO, UX/UI design, and kung-fu. Furthermore, he has collected 12 of the 56 Adobe scrolls (a feat that should not be underestimated!).

He has implemented these tools and skills in numerous projects trying to get one step closer to the ultimate masterpiece. Like any master artist and entrepreneur, he is afflicted by an existential dread that fuels his work. Nevertheless, he stands tall as a champion for his allies and one of the most ambitious adventurers this side of the Mississippi. His illustrious skills should not overshadow the heart behind the drive. His powers are hidden behind a genuine cloak of humility, kindness, and generosity. While reaching for his own goals, he never misses a chance to support others. Ben Johnson, M.A., will find the ultimate project, but you’ll have to stay tuned to find out what will happen next…to be continued. (Written by Meg Boericke)

Meg "Mastermind" Boericke

Meg "Mastermind" Boericke

Head of Creative / Artistic Director / Designer

Meg Boericke cares about the little things, like a LOT. Honestly maybe too much. But if you want to know every pro and con of using the color coral instead of salmon, Meg is your girl. It’s like a sixth sense, Meg just intuitively knows that coral will work 100% better for your infographic about baby seals. But it’s up to you to take the advice, because Meg is that chill about it.

You would think this intuition comes from years of design work, but it just seems to come naturally. Annoyingly Meg didn’t even go to school for design, she’s a whole accomplished dancer who graduated top of her class while also getting a strategic communications degree. Only after dominating both programs did she decide “I guess I’ll go to grad school for interactive media,” like it was nothing. And she killed it. It’s like Serena Williams having her illustrious tennis career, saying “hey football could be fun,” and immediately going pro.

And despite having so many artistic skills and abilities, probably the coolest thing about Meg is her vision and drive. Anyone can do well in a certain field, but it takes a specific type of person to go out into the world, demand what they want, and actually get it. Honestly it might be tempting to write it off as luck and just be jealous of Meg, but it’s just really hard to discount the hard work and not be super impressed. Meg Boericke is a queen, and WE ARE NOT WORTHY. (Written by Ben Johnson)
